Have friends coming to the Island and they want to eat really good french food on the french side. Any Ideas on what places to send them? Thanks Jim <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Consistently the best classical French cooking on the island for the last 15 years is Bistrot Caraibes. We just celebrated our anniversary there on Christmas night and were treated royally as always. Of course that is our opinion. Although we loved Sol e Luna years ago, we have seen reviews that are far from exemplary more recently despite its beautiful setting. As a result have not returned.

And Bistrot Caraïbes prices are quite reasonable.

Another vote for either Le Tastevin in Grand Case or Tropicana in Marigot.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Impressive. Good prices and a colossal choice of wines.

For a classic French meal. With impeccable French service I would try La Santal in Sandy Ground.
