Have friends coming to the Island and they want to eat really good french food on the french side.
Any Ideas on what places to send them?
Thanks
Jim

Consistently the best classical French cooking on the island for the last 15 years is Bistrot Caraibes. We just celebrated our anniversary there on Christmas night and were treated royally as always. Of course that is our opinion. Although we loved Sol e Luna years ago, we have seen reviews that are far from exemplary more recently despite its beautiful setting. As a result have not returned.

And Bistrot Caraïbes prices are quite reasonable.

Unless it's changed Sol is Mediterranean foods. They did have some French dishes on the menu though. I'd recommend L'Auberge Gourmand, Taste de Vin in Grand Case. Or Soleil in Grand Case for Alsatian French as well as what others have mentioned.

Another vote for either Le Tastevin in Grand Case or Tropicana in Marigot.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Impressive. Good prices and a colossal choice of wines.

For a classic French meal. With impeccable French service I would try La Santal in Sandy Ground.

I generally avoid Sandy Ground especially at night... I would rate it as the most dangerous neighborhood in French SXM, Agrément and Concordia being second ...
