Seasons Greetings to all....:)
I will be visiting St Thomas over the New Year by boat and plan to anchor in the main harbour off Charlotte Amalie, likely near the Coast Guard dock. I will have use of a rental car and was wondering about overnight parking in the area. Can one leave a vehicle parked on the waterfront or if not, is there suitable and safe parking nearby...?
Safe and enjoyable boating.

There is a nice, and cheap, parking lot very close to the Coast Guard dock. It is just to the east of the Fort Christian Virgin Islands Museum. It's the large red building, which you can't miss, east of all the cruise boat kiosks. You'll know it's the right lot when you see all the blue police SUV's parked there as that is where the police department is. Helps with security too!

We usually anchor close to Yacht Haven Grande and use the dinghy dock there. It is very close to a Pueblo and Gourmet Gallery for provisions. The small Kmart is within walking distance. The marina charges $10 to park overnight and has good security.
