Since its 26 degrees and I am daydreaming of sun and sand, We go to SXM for the great restaurant's, the nude beach and the feel of the French Caribbean. That being said if you could have a nude beach with the variety of choices like orient what island would you locate it on?
My self I would like St Lucia as I believe the background is spectacular.

Then go to st Lucia. Who cares about a nother substitute island. St Maarten is perfect by my standards. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

SXMscubaman, You are correct St Martin is the perfect island that's why we have been going the last 12 years faithfully.

Relax Scubaman, this is a cool forum. Of course we all love SXM, the question remains valid. Many thx for all of the replies.

I keep thinking about trying another place, but we know SXM so well, and quite love it. We never quite get over the inertia.

St. John would do, or maybe St. Thomas as 2nd choice

Sounds like a really great laid back kind of place! Do you fly into Guadeloupe and then take a ferry?

Wow pl3, Les Saintes sound amazing! Unfortunately, they're even farther from the U.S.!

What do you need to dream about? The Steelers won convincingly Sunday night. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" />
As for your question, I never dreamed of another island with easy air access from the US, great nude beaches, great food and entertainment like what SXM offers and I don't know if another one offers all that. I'd like to visit Turks and Caicos but I don't know if there are nude beaches there. If not, I can accept to wear a swimsuit, it's not a show stopper to me.
Go Steelers.

Go Steelers.

Patriots fans will be rooting for your team on Sunday <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />.

For me the destination has to be reasonably easy to get to...meaning maybe one puddle jumper. Vacation should start when you leave airport #1 and end when you return to that facility. Many a vacation relaxation zone has been busted by return connection issues....

So I guess I will be content (I am) with SXM and the "normal" vacation islands and leave the remote destinations to the more adventurous.

My favorite is Martinique.

Really nice people, unspoiled from tourism, beautiful countryside and beaches.

Norwegian Air; NYC - Guadeloupe $69.00
The puddle jumper to Terre-De-Haute is slightly more.
The pilot often buzzes the runway to scare off the goats before landing...

We have been to Antigua and they offer just about everything that St. Martin does. We visited a few very good restaurants and the nude beach where we saw one other person. Only thing you wouldn't have is the French flair, since it is British.

We have visited Hawksbill also, lovely quiet beach. If it had one beach bar it would be a perfect 2nd choice. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Due to various historically facts, people in Guadeloupe tend to be a little more apprehensive to Western tourists than people in Martinique. A fact well known in France.

Be warned.
