Can anyone recommend a service for a private transfer from Cancun Airport to Merida?

There's 4 of us and we don't want to take the bus.

http://www.lomastravel.com/transfers.html

Lomas is very large, HQ in Cancun. I don't see Merida listed, suggest you call direct.

I've used USA Transfers for airport transfers to Puerto Morelos and back. Highly recommended.

That is going to be expensive!

You might be better off renting a car at CUN.

200 miles is quite a taxi ride.

ADO has several levels of transportation. Just saying

Good luck.

Our friend rented for a week there last year and a week near Progresso. They've opted to do the same again this year. We're meeting up with another couple who rents near Progresso for 6 months.

They like Merida as it is a "walking" town with nice places to dine, and is good for day trips.

Progresso has many options to be right on the beach.

The most expensive part of the entire trip is the rental car by the time the insurance is added to it.

I sent an inquiry about rates to William Lawson. We're also exploring car rentals and the bus.

Since we are senior citizens who hate dragging our luggage, we may rent a car to get to Merida and consider the bus for when we leave. By then, we may be rested and ready to be more adventurous.

What option did you choose?
