Wonderful trip, here are some quick notes:
Stayed near Orient Village and spent most of our time between Orient beach and Grand Case for dinners.
Friars Beach 1 day, Orient all the others, beaches were very empty even on heavy cruise ship dates. My guestimate would be 1/3 to 1/2 of the usual January crowds.
Traffic very Light everywere.
Saw more Genderarmes than ever, even picking up illegals at the airport. Saw no evidence of crime felt safe everywere we travelled, usually home by 9 PM if it matters.
Island seemed cleaner than usual and saw road work being done in a few different areas on the French roads.
Met some new friends and saw some old ones so a great trip as always.
Oh well, back to reality have to go shovel the driveway now...
