What beach is that one from early in the video where there are people surfing?

Yep, the surfers were at Josiah's Bay. The break at CGB is ot that long and the cuts before and after were Josiah's.

Are the copper mines accessible with an easy walk from a nearby mooring or does that require a car rental from a mooring?

The copper mine is on the southeast end of VG. Definitely not walking distance but well worth a visit.
