Notice anything odd about the marina page pic on scrub islands new website? Not a single sailboat in sight. Lots of sportfishers. Does this ever happen or is this photoshopped?

It looks like that when the Puerto Rican Navy is in town.

Also, the Marina Cay mooring field/anchorage is not full, and mostly similar power boats. I'm thinking it's the third week of July (PR holidays and nearly offseason for chartering).

Wow! How long has this resort been there? Is it fairly new?

About 4-5 years now, I think. The first time we stayed in a slip there was during the TTOL Flotilla in summer of 2011.

Hoping the new website isn't the only thing they're planning to reinvigorate the resort. Last time we were there the service was bad, the food was bad, the place was messy, and the store was bereft of anything you'd actually want. Probably going to skip it next week for the first time in many trips.

We will be there next Friday. No TTOL discount, that ended 10/31. So there will be two Cats at the dock if they want to retake that picture. We like Scrub for a mid trip stop for the amenities.

Booked marina for December 16th, no TTOL discount. I asked if Binny Sebastian was still resort manager .... negative.

We were there two weeks ago for one night. Place was looking good, they have new loungers around the upper and lower pools. Hard to beat drinking their bushwhackers while in the hot tub looking at Marina Cay. We dined on the boat so I can't comment on the restaurant.. Staff we encountered was friendly.

They picked up $18 Million in new cash. The pool is upgraded and more roads, construction, villas, with new lanscaping are on the way, in some cases underway.

We docked there in mid Oct. and our crew arrived at airport and took the Scrub ferry over. Only way to do it!! We arrived about 1:00 and were able to sit by pool and relax and waited for them. I love their pool and talking to all the newlyweds. The service was good. We had dinner late in the outside restaurant. Food was good, service was good.
We rented a 2 bedroom condo for the night we turned the boat in. Again, everything was great.

Wow! Maybe I'll put it back on the list. Anyone visit the North Beach? It was a mess last time.

We often stop there.
Might want to visit there in June 2016.

anyone spend NYC at Scrub Island. Have a reservation there but not sure it will be lively (not looking for a Foxy type atmosphere)

Docked at Scrub & took their ferry to Trellis and Last Resort for New Years 2 years ago. The last thing I remember is that we had to keep the slip for an extra night because I was too sick to poke my head into the daylight on New Years Day.

Sounds like a case of island fever? Or a case of wine <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />
