Another football game question. A few of our crew want to watch an NFL game this Sunday. We'll be on Anegada. Any idea where (if possible) to watch a game? (We need to sail outside of football season apparently)

One has to wonder why somebody would spend a ton of money and effort to get to beautiful Anegada...........

Only to watch a football game?

Hey CG!
Considering the Anegada Reef Hotel doesn't have TVs you may be out of luck. I can't fathom being at Anegada and watching football, but to each their own. wink Hope your crew finds what they are looking for.

I don't know, sitting at a beach bar, cold beer in hand, toes in the sand...sounds like a great way to watch a football game. Seems like a remember a TV at Potter's, but I'm not positive.

Anegada Beach Club has TVs in the rooms, not sure if they have TVs in the bar or restaurant or not.

TV + some form of NFL Satellite Package... and a room full of people willing to watch the team of your needs? What is the WiFi performance on Anegada these days? That may be your only option.

Yes, everyone has their needs. My favorite is watching someone run themselves ragged interisland thinking they cannot live without one particular brand of US beer they have come to identify with. Or a group that sailed back from Virgin Gorda to St. John to watch a March Madness game only to find they arrived on NASCAR night at the St. John Hot Spot.

Miracles happen everyday but... the word hopeless comes to mind. There is also the word futile as well.

No TV at Potters but occasionally he will bring his from home if he has a request.

Anegada Beach Club has a TV at the bar and sometimes brings out a projection TV for special events. In September, the TV had been damaged but I would guess it has been fixed since then. If you stop by for a drink during the day and mention you want to come watch a game, I would guess Jamie the manager will figure it out for you.

Also, stop by Neptunes and see if Mark got his outside bar TV working. It was out of service in September.

Thank you Carol and Colleen :-)

We'll check with the ABC and Potters when we get to Anegada. It's not a deal breaker - just thought it would be fun.

Watch your broadcast times as well. Hopefully the game you want is on the East Coast of the US. One night I was watching a Monday Night Football game when in the second quarter one of the ladies turned off the TV and said " We close "!!! I will refrain from stating where this was but yes I had dinner there and still had a drink in front of me at the bar.

doesn't matter what coast your on for Monday Night Football. The game is on at 8:30 and 9:30 in BVI during daylight savings, so the game will not end until 11:30 or 12:30, pretty late for a BVI restaurant to be open

Last January for the bowl games, Mark from Neptune's got us fresh ice, made sure there was plenty of mixers available and decided it was time to go to bed. "Let me know what you had to drink tomorrow" and off he went. Great game!

Actually during Daylight Savings Time [April through Oct] the the BVI is the same time as the East Coast - but the BVI stays on Atlantic Standard time all year so in the winter the Mon. game starts at 9:30

Getting a bit off topic, but, there are two games on Monday night, an early game and a late game. I am sure, however, that the good people on Anegada will take care of their customers and do everything they can to provide the entertainment desired.

I have spent many a day in my recliner next to the fireplace wishing I was toes in the water, [censored] in the sand watching the game with a cold drink in my hand ...
