My wife and I will be staying at Mont Vernon from 11/14 until 11/21. Anyone else staying there during this time? Been to the island many times, but never stayed at Mont Vernon. Can't wait

We always stay at Mont Vernon, and have gotten to know the property and area well, any questions feel free to pm us. Some rentals are way better than others, depending on what your want, and what is important to you. Also I have to say, that the food in the French Cul de Sac, area is starting to keep us away from Grand Case. Many wonderful restaurants near there. Jam Rock, especially!

Are the restaurants in Cul de Sac within walking distance of Mont Vernon? Would it be safe to do at night? We will have a car, so getting there won't be an issue one way or the other.

It is easily walkable, and we do it regularly during the day. I would not walk it at night.

Sol e Luna and Le Taitu are easily walkable in the evening and there is a sidewalk most of the way from Mount Vernon. For other places in Cul de Sac, you would need a car.

We visited Jam Rock in Oct. for the 1st time. Loved it!!! Parking is right across the street. Also Taitu, which we always visit. We had dinner there, but some of our friends highly recommend lunch.

Enjoy your trip! And please do let us know how it went upon your return. It's always interesting to hear a report from a newbie.
