I was just reading an article in marina life magazine about chartering in the BVI's. It was basically a day by day account of a charter trip but it mentioned a "new bar" at Loblolly called Daddy's Love Shack. Anyone ever hear of it? Worth a stop?

Cottage Girl, Anything else in that article? I love reading about charters. Preparing for end of Jan. I know you are going soon, right?

Used to be called "The Love Shack" oe something with Love in in, its owned by Potter he opened it last year with a guy working there but he didn't last long, PJ I think he was called. Don't know if its still open as Potter uses it for Large Flotillas. If you want to check its right next door to Flash of Beauty.

Thanks sleepychef - the article referred to it as "Captain Ross's friend JP's new bar" I'd never heard anyone mention it and it's not in the cruising guidebook so I thought I'd ask about it. We'll take a peek while we're there.

Floet - nothing that you wouldn't find in your cruising guide book or on this forum. Before our charter last spring I read our guidebook front to back and anything else I could get my hands on. I LOVE planing trips! And yes, we leave in 10 days - can't wait! The BVI's are addicting - we haven't even left for this trip and we already have April 2016 booked!
Feel free to PM me with any questions - happy to share what we know - so far
PS: where in MI? We're at the northern tip - between Petoskey & Harbor Springs.

Cottagegirl, we were long-time residents of Rochester/Troy area then 10 years in Grand Rapids. We sailed a lot on Lk Michigan and Gr Traverse Bay. How do you bear those winters in the North? haha. Something like bearing the disgrace of being a Detroit Lions fan, maybe.
