Now that Biras is closed, I am sure Esther is going to have a hard job getting over there. I will give here a call

I'm delighted Esther is reopening Nick, but it is going to be difficult for her.... And the shop too? We must all do our best to ensure she has lots of guests. Such a lovely lady and we have never had a bad evening at the Fat Virgin.

Let's all support Ester as much as possible - we'll be over there a couple of times in December

Elaine from B&B Powerboats here at Leverick is providing a water taxi to FV for $5 per person. She will be leaving from Leverick.

Just found their facebook page. Never been there - maybe it needs to be on our itinerary for next month. Can we dinghy there from Leverick or are we better off taking the water taxi Nick mentioned above?

That water taxi option is great! I would go that route unless you're planning a dinghy pub crawl -- we start in dinghies at LB, go to Prickly Pear if it's open, then to Saba, Bitter End, Fat Virgin, and back to Leverick - it's LOTS of fun with a group....and water cannons
You DO get wet!

We're big fans of Fat Virgin, great to hear they'll be open. We dink over from the Prickly Pear anchorage, but the $5 water taxi from Leverick is a better bet from there!
Looks like we'll be too late for pizza night at Leverick and too early for Upstairs! We had fun last September at Jumbies with a good DJ.
Cheers, RickG

Hi Nick,
Going to be on Virgin Gorda 10/17 - 10/20. We want to visit Leverick Bay for some of our time. How do we sign up for the ride to Fat Virgin?
Thanks,
goozee

You can also grab a mooring ball right there by Fat Virgin. Go in for lunch, then move to Leverick or Saba.

Birds Creek is very sheltered during most storms and well worth considering. Have spent several thunderstorms there and always felt well protected. However, presumably the mooring buoys will no longer be maintained. .....

There is also a new on call service facilitating the North Sound , Fat Virgin, Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock (they have their free ferry but for those people who wish to go and not wait) $5 per person one way from Leverick Bay, Call Elaine at Bradley Powerboats and she will arrange it 284 541 9341 or email bradleypowerboats@hotmail.com
