We are going to SXM in April for our 20 time and we have already made reservations for L'Effet du Mer. Any suggestions for food choices. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

Although stephane does offer a bargain prix fix with some good choices, I recommend the lobster tasting as well as the foie gras tasting. Each is about $24 and we had these as appetizers, but could be enjoyed as a main course. The flambed chocolate ball filled with fruit puree is an unique dessert and he usually has a special lemon dessert that I enjoyed despite my love of chocolate. L'effert Mer is also open for lunch with a completely different menu. Gwen the young night time server is probably the best non owner server in Gran Case.
