Has anyone chartered or been on one of these boats? Looking for any feedback.

Thanks

I am looking to charter a Bali 4.5. Let me know what you think. The stats on that boat are great.
Did you get it through amazingsail?

The boat is out of Dream Yacht charters on Tortola. We will be on it the first 2 weeks of May. I will let you know.

Nice video of an Atlantic crossing on a Bali 4.5... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVea6Mz9h9Q

A few guys just taking it easy, no heroics, crossing in 17 days. Same as I did on Jeannius many years ago.

How was the Bali 4.5? How did it sail?

I'm curious if the "American size" fridge was able to keep up in the tropical climate? Was the power salon window useful?

Thanks!

I hate to say this, but she sailed like a pig! The frig was great, even keep the Dove bars frozen. The window in the salon was not power, but very easy to lower and raise. It was great at a mooring ball or anchor. Let air go through the whole boat. The bow cushions were extremely comfortable.

If you are getting the same boat we did "Our Boys", beware, the smell of that boat was awful! Smelt like diesel and crap. I mentioned this before we left the charter company and was told it was just a boat smell.

This was the worst maintained boat we have ever chartered, especially for being just one year old.

I would not recommend DYC to anyone.

Wow sorry to hear about your experience but thank you for sharing so that others can avoid something similar.
