Bomba's? I like Bomba's but, I can think of a lot of other places I'd rather relax and/or enjoy a drink in the islands other than Bomba's (e.g. Cow Wreck, all of CGB, Ivan's etc.) No disrespect intended to Bomba....just personal opinion.

Agree as well...however...kind of glad that some of them didn't make it....maybe we can hang onto the quiet just a little longer....before Kenny films another video...

I have been to seven. What does that say about my drinking habits? smile

Da Conch Shack is probably my favorite. No offense to the VIs, I just spend many a long lunch there back in the day.

I nearly had a heart attack going to Sandy Island. My son was 5yo and the captain let my son drive the boat from Sandy Ground in rough seas. As in let him sit alone while he (the captain) sat with my husband and talked! I turned around 3/4 of the way there to see my son looking like he knew what he was doing. After I got over the shock, I took a picture, blew it up and framed it for my husband's office.

Been to a lot of these and going back to the Soggy Dollar soon. ONE LOVE on Jost Van Dyke is one that should be on the list.

Carol, that is exactly what the locals I dove with said. They did not see anything special about the place.

COW WRECK HANDS-DOWN! For some reason, softest sand i've ever felt, the honor bar is awesome and food incredible. Love this place!

Have been to most. Wouldn't go to most again if you put a gun to my head...especially Soggy Dollar.

Whooboy, the crowds! Might as well be on the beach in FLL.

There are so many great little beach bars that didn't make the list. And I hope they never will.

Here's one: it's 'famous' (as in local-famous) for watching the sunset, anticipating the green flash. It's on a small island which has had it's share of challenges in the last twenty years.

Anyone?

I was wondering if the Soggy Dollar is as busy during the week as it is on the weekend. We have been there on both and find the weekends very crowded as there are a lot of speed boats coming from nearby islands. But if it is getting bad on the weekdays we might stay away. But would like to know if the weekdays are OK?

It's more a matter of what part of the season that you're in. Just like the Willy T and other easily reached places, they do have a surge of locals on the weekend. However, in the height of season, the tourists MORE than make up what any barrage of locals could possibly inflict on these places, even weekdays. (On vacation, every day is a Saturday.)

So..right now, all is good. February 15th...bring your cattle prod...any day of the week!

I've only made it to 6 of the 20. Man, I better get busy! In London for 7 months and can't wait for March and the BVIs. Great way to top off a grey winter in UK.

Cheers,

Marcia
