Flights – American from DFW/MIA/SXM and SXM/SJU/DFW. All were on time and uneventful. Not much choice for food at SJU. Customs went smoothly.

Car – We always use Tim and Patricia from L’Esperance. One week for $129.60. Hundai Accent.

Stayed at Les Balcons again. Great place at a good price. I will be booking them again for next April.

Our favorite watering hole this trip was the Dingy Dock with new friends, Wayne and Pam, David and Elizabeth and Ben and Katie. Jim and Patty joined us one night. Thanks for the Stella Artois Jim!! Dingy Dock is a cool bar and restaurant. Go there if the opportunity presents itself.

Most days were at Club O near the Perch with those listed above plus Bill and Elaine and Rick. Just down the beach was Contessa and her group, Brian, Deb and Tracy, Scott and Melinda and many other TTOLers. It was a great time to be on the island to meet a lot of people from the board.

We would pick up sandwiches at the bakery in Orleans for lunch most days. The two days we didn’t we ate at Baywatch and Le Pirate. Both were great. We went to the Baywatch party. We had a wonderful time. Great fun, food and fellowship in spite of the weather. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put it together.

Our most memorable meals were at:
Baywatch-mussels ala Andy and the grouper dish.
Big Fish- the Mahi Mahi that will be featured on Iron Chef and Jacque de Croc (alligator)
Quai Quest- grilled mahi mahi with a wonderful sauce and 5 or six different vegetables and shrimp and avocado salad. Also had Nadia’s chocolate mousse. It was to die for!!
Poulet d’Orleans- creole chicken and the mahi mahi special. Both had wonderful sides of plantains, crystophines, pumpkin and potatoes.

I am sure I butchered the spelling of several of the dishes but they were great and I highly recommend any and all of the restaurants.

A special thanks to the mayor of Orient (Wayne) for introducing us to everyone and being such fun to be around. I need you and Ben to talk to Carla again about how the husband can retire and the wife still work. She still doesn’t get it.

The avatar was taken by Pam at Dinghy Dock. I’m the pretty one……..Ron
