Our second visit to St. Maarten was a wonderful time. Had rain showers nearly every day, but no wash outs. It was very windy and at times all most cool, but no complaints as I sit here watching it snow outside. This time my husband and I stayed at Divi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Liked the relative seclusion, everything on site and a wonderful beach. Just far enough out of the hustle bustle. Thanks to the many recommendations from this site we had some delicious meals. My husband got to again enjoy his lobster at Lee's, tried the lobster at the Greenhouse, but will stick to Lee's in the future for lobster. Otherwise the Greenhouse has fine food, along with Chesterfields and Taloula Mango's in Philipsburg. Tried LeCharolais in Maho but wasn't impressed. After driving into Uncle Harry's parking lot if it wasn't for the recommadations we would have drove back out, stayed and had a fine meal although we thought it was a bit expensive. Also, enjoyed Baywatch, LaCroissanterrce and Talk of the Town (even with the food mix up and long delay). We enjoyed our visit again to the Butterfly Farm, so relaxing. Went way out of my box and tried Snuba with my husband. Despite the rocky start on my behalf I was able to press on, relax and enjoyed myself. Took some time to drive around the island to visit a couple of the beaches and took the road (the map indicated it was a road, could have fooled me) that does a big loop near Westin Hotel/Dawn Beach, never did see the beach. We used Unity car rental and would definately use them again, fast and easy. Looking forward to our next visit to the island.
