thats my question Do we rent a car or take the money we would have and use it on Taxis? Staying for week near Josiah Bay

Absolutely rent a car. It should be way cheaper and provide much more freedom

Both taxis and rental cars are more expensive than SXM, but a rental car is the way to go, yes. Cheaper and much more convenient.

No question. Rent! Taxi fare for two round trip from Josia's to Cane Garden would just about pay for a day's rental.
