This was released this morning by SXM Police:

KPSM
Philipsburg, August 11th 2015
From: Inspector R.V. HENSON

JOINT PRESS RELEASE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE AND POLICE FORCE

Arrests made in robbery case in which 'Benji' was shot

Last night, on Monday August 10th, after days of thorough research, the members of the Investigating Team that's handling the case of the robbery of jewellery store 'Oro Diamante' managed to arrest four suspects that might have something to do with the robbery and the shooting of police officer Gamali Benjamin.

The arrest took place in St. Peters area around 8.30 pm on Tuesday night.

The people that were arrested are all young male suspects in their early twenties . Three of them were arrested for hiding a wanted suspect of a severe criminal act and the fourth one was arrested because he's suspected of being an accomplice in the murdering/man slaughter of police officer Gamali Benjamin and committing an armed robbery resulting in death.

The arrests were made without any resistance from the suspects. They were transported to the Philipsburg Police Station where they were put into custody for further investigation. In connection with sensitivity of this investigation no more information will be given at this time.

More information will be given in a subsequent press release or press conference.

This appears to be the same people referred to in the Daily Herald story. Not really anything new here.

I read the link you posted below and it talked about a 2nd arrest being made and several people being detained. Jeff is just posting a press release that indicates there now have been 4 people arrested in connection with this crime. I think that's great news.

My hope is the killers get the maximum sentence of Life in prison.Which will be at least 25 years.

When they go to prison, do they stay at Point Blanche, or to another island with max security?

Wow, 25 years isn't much ... Could be 46 when they are released. I'll probably be too old to be on the island by then.
