Cooper Closes on Aug 15th for 8 weeks this year (they are putting in a micro brewery this summer) Pirates Bight closes around the same time but normally only for 6 weeks. Willy T and Soggy Dollar always open throughout the summer. Marina Cay will be closed in Sept, Saba Rock too (I am sure there are plenty others but these in particular I frequent regularly)

Genie ... Congrats on the new vessel. Our Lagoon 400-S2, S/V Orion, is en route ... Off the coast of Portugal right now and we are planning to head down in September to see her for the first time. Did you end up going with TMM? Thanks - Mark

We plan to dine out our last night. Too bad for this year, but a micro-brew sounds great for next year! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Tony's ( Stanley's) just closed in CGB leaving Rhymer's, Myett's and Paradise Club as options there.

Thanks Manpot!

FYI, I shot Cooper Island Beach Club an email and Samantha replied quickly with the following.....

"Thank you for your message. Our last day of Lunch & Dinner service will be Sunday 16th August and then the resort is closed from 17th Aug for 60 days annual maintenance."

We did the first week of September last year. St. John/Cruz Bay was hopping. The BVIs were basically closed. Leverick was open and Thursday night pizza night was as busy as it got with about eight tables. The Willy T was open.

On the Cooper brewpub, we spoke with staff last week. They are going to train existing staff to do most of the work with some consulting to get them started. The staff is pretty excited about having a decent pint. If you've had the beer at Foxy's, not as easy as it sounds.

The new brewery in Charlotte Amalie was pretty darn good last week!

Cheers, RickG

We have a tripped plan for the week of Labor Day, September 5-12. We are chartering Nicola from BVI Yacht Charters. Will anyone else be around that week? Our plans for the route are:

Saturday - Bomba Shack > Sleep Aboard
Sunday - Baths > Scrub Island
Monday - Sandy Spit > Jost Van Dyke
Tuesday - Cane Garden Bay > Road Town
Wednesday - Anegada
Thursday - Anegada
Friday - Trellis Bay

We usually like to eat on shore, will we have any issues with finding a restaurant open at any of these stops?

Also, since lobster season is over, can we still get fresh lobster on Anegada?

Thanks!

Ken and Kelly

Thanks for the response Nick, we stayed at Leverick Bay on our first bareboat charter in May and loved it. We were at Friday night BBQ and the food and jumbies were great!

This time we are sailing with a couple who has never sailed before so we are keeping the sails short until we drop them off back in Tortola on Wednesday. After that Kelly and I, will be doing our first "crossing" to Anegada. We were debating working St John into the trip since we read here Anegada would be almost deserted this time of year, but we really want to get an open ocean sail under our belts.

Now we just have to hope for good weather!

There is Lobster for sale in the restaurants on Anegada, Lobster season is closed but there is plenty in the freezers. I checked with Con & Fish last year and you can still sell it on the menu as long as you had it in stock before 1st Aug.
Wonky Dog will be closed from 4th Sept reopen 19th Sept
