My husband and I were married on Nail Bay in Virgin Gorda, and will (hopefully) be returning next May for our 3rd anniversary. What's new on our lovely little island? I hope it remains the unspoiled paradise it was in 2013.

Just came back from 9 outstanding days and will likely book next years trip tomorrow Our 1st year was in 2012. Don't know of anything "new" but had great lunches at Hog Heaven (3 times!)dinner at The Rock, drinks at Saba Rock, Jumbies at Leverick, and finally went to the Mine Shaft for a drink and met Lincoln! Regret we hadn't gone there before as we had a great time with him at the bar so next years is a must!
I think you'll be pleased at how it's remained the same in a very good way, at least in my opinion.

I have seen mixed trip advisor reviews of the rock. Can you be more specific about your experience. Thanks

Absolutely. We were going to go to the Treehouse but it's closed Mon/Tues. Went to the Rock as it's the same place. Walked in about 7PM, asked for a table up in the boulders which we got immediately. Our server was very good and attentive. We both got the carbonara, mine with chicken. Good wine selection. Total check with Caesar salad, two entrees, AND two bottles of wine was $114 including gratuity. We've gone in past years and every time has been good to excellent. We'll go back next year.

If returning to Nail Bay the company running it will have changed as Driftwood give it up in September. Sugarcane is still open but the chef has moved a long time now.

We actually stay at a private villa on Nail Bay. We did love Sugarcane though, so I hope the food is still good. One day when it rained, we sat at the bar, and they cooked us whatever we wanted. We haven't been to Coco Maya yet, but plan on it this time. We also missed Mineshaft, as it was closed when we tried to go. Hog Heaven had a nice view, but the food was nothing special. I had heard Mad Dog's closed, but think I may have been misinformed. I assume Buck's is still there, and the same ferry companies, etc. Glad to hear it's mostly the same there.

Again this is all a matter of opinion as we find the ribs and conch in butter sauce awesome at Hog Heaven as well as messing with Dan, Nadia, and Olga, which is why we had lunch there three times this trip. The view of the North Sound from Hog Heaven is spectacular. As far as choosing between Coco Maya and The Rock, do both. as they are both very good.

Mad Dogs didn't close but for 2 or 3 years, Edith, the heart and soul of Mad Dogs was elsewhere. She's back now and Mad Dogs is, once again, my favorite bar in the world. ![[Linked Image]](http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s553/mewatt82/DSC_0447_zpsa2p35bd7.jpg)

warren460 said: So how does one decide between cocomaya and the rock. We were at both in February. My thoughts - CocoMaya has the small plates concept, which some people like my husband do not like like. There were a few entries listed but nothing appealed to him. He did enjoy the meal and we went back a second time for appetizers and drinks before going to the Rock Cafe. The restaurant and setting of CocoMaya is lovely. We also enjoyed our meal at the Rock Cafe. We sat outside in the boulders and it was lovely in a different way. Different style of menu. Our food was very good and I thought the prices were kind, it was one of our less expensive meals. We eat out every night on vacation. So if you like being on the beach and a tapas menu - CocoMaya Interesting setting with a more traditional apps, entrees style dining - Rock Cafe

Can't help you OP, but we haven't been back in 4 years and 3 months. Look forward to returning next year possibly.
