Sorry, I couldn't think of a good title <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" /> Anyhow, recently I saw a post here that had 1 responder talking about a store with the BEST prices on Alcohol. I think maybe it was near a university ?? Went back through 20 pages on this board and can't find the OP. Anyone???

The best prices for normal alcohol (beer and wine) is probably either the Grand Marche's or the Prime. The Grand Marches carry a good selection of beer and wine at a very reasonable price. The also carry a wide selection of hard alcohols like vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, scotch, etc.

Actually for FRENCH wines, in particular, you can get some stupid cheap prices right now at Super U in Marigot. Have no idea on beer, as I don't drink beer.

I find the Grand Marche and Market Garden the highest on the island for hard alcohol.

High on some things. Same or lower on other items. Depends on what your looking for which is true at most stores. Best bargain at Market Garden are their $2.50 pre-made baguette sandwiches. Great for the beach.

Tough to beat the lost leader prices at some of the shops on Front Street in Phillipsburg for hard booze.
