I know many of you go back to bsv year after year! Wondering if there are washers/dryers, and also TVS in the bedrooms? Thanks!

TV only in living room. The washer/dryer is used by housekeeping only.

No and no. Sorry. I haven't done it myself, but I understand the maids will take laundry and do it and bring it back, although I have no idea how much the charge is.

Thanks to you both!
We're spoiled by renting a condo that has TVs in bedrooms (one in group doesn't do the beach), and there's a washer and dryer. I was hoping to find a place where we could meet and make new friends, and Beachside sounded like a fun option! Sometimes I feel a little isolated.

I have to laugh but personally I like that there isn't a tv in the bedroom. That way I can go to sleep listening to the waves and not the television!! But to each their own, my hubby likes to wind down with his tv at night. BSV works for us because I can be on the beach getting my sun and husband can be on the porch in the shade/living room watching tv/taking a nap. He can't do a lot of sun but likes to be there for a swim or whatever. I have also heard that the maids will do laundry if you ask but have never done it. Happy searching Whammy!!

We love the location of Beachside Villas right on the beach, but would really love to have A/C in the living area. Since there is no A/C in the main area, a T.V. in the bedroom would be nice and a washer/dryer would be perfect. We are so spoiled!

A/C in the living room would be great, yes, but if so, I'm sure the prices would be a LOT higher!! So, I am perfectly willing to accept no a/c in the living room. I have told Yolanda for a few years that they should offer an option of a TV in the bedroom, and that people would pay extra for the amenity, but so far, I haven't managed to convince her!!

Whammy and all.....

We all can see the same things so differently!

We're total newbies to BSV, but personally speaking, I wouldn't change one thing.

The maids can and will do laundry for a very minimal cost, so the absense of a laundry is fine with me, and even being a bedtime TV watcher, I loved being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves every night.

We didn't miss the total unit airco at all and found the breezes blowing through the atrium area from the rear porch to be more than adequate but I don't much like using airco anywhere if I can avoid it.

Personally speaking, I think BSV is absolutely perfect just the way it is - low keyed, laid back and a great spot to be social or not, as you choose. But that's us and certainly, others have different vacation perspectives.

On our second stay at BSV, we had a sm- med sized pile of laundry sitting on the floor waiting to be put in a garbage bag to load back into our luggage for the trip home. We went out for breakfast, came back in the early afternoon to find that someone stole our pile of clothes. Went to Orient for the day and returned to get ready for dinner to find a neatly folded stack of laundry sitting on the couch. Never ask them to do it, or did they ask for anything for doing it. Made sure the maids got an extra large tip for that act of kindness.

Pat, I agree the breezes in April can be delightful, but it gets very hot and humid at Beachside in November and without A/C in the main living area, it can really become uncomfortable with clothes on. Sometimes we just have to pretend we are at Club O!

Elizabeth, we agree with you. We liked BSV very much when we stayed there, but the absence of AC in the living area made us all cranky. We like to visit in the low-season and it can indeed get quite hot without AC.

As for TV in the bedrooms, I can take it or leave it. When I'm on vacation, unless there's an exciting sporting event I want to watch, I can live without TV at all. But that's just me.

I think if it were just Dick and me, Beachside Villas would be perfect!
