So, I was thinking that since it looks like a rainy day, I would love a junk food lunch, with some big fat french fries! Obviously not someplace outside without cover! NOT McDONALDS!! Anyone know if Lees has big fat french fries??

We had ribs with fries at Lee's last week. The fries are the thinner ones. Definitely not "big and fat".
On a side note, Lee's has some changes. The bar is now in the middle of the dining area.

No, but we had some awesome handcut freshly made garlic flavored steak fries in Newtown, Ct last night and I heard LGM has a great deal going on potatoes, should you happen to be out of them......

Huhm. Well, we ended up over at Orient, and had a very nice lunch at Kakao--endive salad and pizza. No french fries! I asked the waiter and he said 'skinny fries', so I passed!!

We always order a plate of fries at the Tropicana...nothing better than "French" fries there.

If eating on the French Side, the skinny potatoes are likely all you'll find. I don't think I have ever seen pommes frites in France or Belgium that were American steak fries.

Eric, Though not like the fat Texas fries, the patats, made from Dutch potatoes, at Mo's Snackshop are very good. They are in between Texas and French skinny in size. They have been on summer vacation and will be open Wed or Thurs. A friendly young couple run it and I usually get take out as the shop is in a shopping plaza. http://mosnackcorner.com/p1.htm

Actually, G's Snack in Grand Case has big fries - the kind we refer to here as "steak fries".

Don't be intimidated by the snack names. Although they don't translate redly into English, the people there will tell you what the ingredients are and how they are prepared. Go to Moe's for a fun time and a completely different taste experience.

Didn't even think of Karakter, as I was looking for someplace under cover because of the rain.. No french fries, but we did have a lovely lunch at Kakao..
