tango vs. lambada? suggestions from anyone who has done both? I think choices are between Lambada to Prickley Pear & Anguilla, Tango to Cove Bay, or Tango to Shoal. I really like to snorkel, and I'e heard Prickley Pear is good? Anguilla is a definite, just which one? and I figure we should rent a cab once there and explore a bit...but Shoal seems to be top choice. any opinions appreciated

I did comment on one of your other posts. I will tell you that Shoal Bay East is a great place to snorkel for the day. We do lots of snorkeling there. From past experience you will not have time on the Lambada to rent a cab for sight seeing. I believe that you would get a brief tour of the island if you go on the Tango as the people on their day sail arrive by van to Shoal Bay. If you really want to explore on your own I would suggest taking the private ferry over and spending the day. Lots of cabs available and they will drop you off and arrange a pickup time. Many of the drivers would stay with you for the day as guides too (not sure the price of that). Good luck!! Shoal Bay is beautiful!!

I would agree, if you want to do sightseeing on your own, take the public ferry. As between the two, otherwise, I wouldn't have a recommendation, other than I love Haresh, captain of the Tango!

thanks guys. maybe I'm being too cheap! but we save cab fares to and from the ferry if we take the tango. and a sail with music and food sounds more fun. I think I'm leaning toward tango... keep opinions coming please.. I'm a waffler

We were just in SXM last week and we did the Tango to Shoal Bay. It was a great day. You arrive at one beach (Cove Bay?) and take a bus to Shoal - the ride probably takes 15-20 minutes so you do get to see a bit of the island. Once at Shoal you get chairs and lunch. They have noodles and snorkel gear available for use (included) - we snorkeled and had a grand time. The beach is gorgeous and lunch was very good as well. I highly recommend the trip.

How much time did you spend at Shoal?
