..... Riteway, OneMart, Bobby's.

Used them all at one time or another and have found widely varying product availability/shelf stock, quality of produce, timeliness of delivery service. Seems to depend on who is managing each place at any particular time.

What is recent experience among this group for provisioning at these stores re the factors above?

Also, love sausage e.g., summer sausage types..... the kind you slice off a hunk, put some cheese with it, maybe a cracker and pop it in your mouth. Who carries this? (Have not found it on any on-line provisioning lists).

I say Riteway..we use " Harbour Market" (Riteway) at Soper's for 90% of the stuff we need for CRC..they have a good deli and sausage selection (I love their British bangers) so you should find what you need..

We've picked up Goteborg sausage before. It's a lactic acid fermented sausage like summer sausage, but not as sweet as some summer sausages. We've also picked up DAK salami and smoked salami.

I was a bit surprised to see Goteborg sausage as I think of that as a Hawaiian staple served musubi style with sushi rice on top. Works on a lunchy munchy sausage and cheese platter too.

Bobby's online selection and delivery to boat has been great for us, including our trip last week. We like to make a trip to Riteway for produce and other specialty items we want to see before purchasing. We charter from Mooring's so Riteway is a short walk from the marina.

If you charter from Moorings again, you may want to check out their online provisioning - they were great for us and as cheap or cheaper on some items. And, we asked for the adult beverages, soda pops and mixers to be cold for our overnight stay on the boat prior to launch and we arrived around 9pm to cold beverages.....very nice!

I'm chartering owners time so no company provisioning for me this time.

I'm looking for recent experience with what appear to be the three primary markets in RT. Product availability, quality and freshness of produce, reliability and timeliness of delivery services are things I'm interested in. IOW, What's going on right now.

My go to market has been Riteway, but last year, in lateJune, we had issues with product availability, missing items, subbed items and delivery. I don't think this is common there. They just had a rough week, I guess.

I did stop by at Bobby's to find items that Riteway didn't have. Produce looked awful. Otherwise they had what I needed. Very friendly. I've only stopped by at OneMart to buy a case of beer. Looked nice inside. Produce was average looking on a Friday ..... And when is produced delivered?

I know of but have never used Good Moon Farms. Might take a trip there if others think it's worth the drive. We have a few days onTortola before our charter so, time to look around.

We had a great experience with Riteway in May - we had some things delivered but shopped for meat and produce ourselves and it was all very fresh and great!

There is no reason you can't use the Moorings provisioning with owners time. You simply enter your contract number on the website. We were very impressed with the service two weeks ago. Arrived at the boat to find everything onboard and all the cold items put away. Wife says only we she is doing it ever again!

Not using Moorings. The boat is with DYC. Pretty sure they'll provision if I wanted them to. My understanding is that we get treated just like any other charterer which, I am told is pretty darn good. DYC staff has a good rep.

I am pre-ordering most non-perishables, will have them delivered Saturday and will shop the rest on Friday. Last year I pre-ordered with Riteway. I stopped by and wanted to check my order on Friday, the day before it was delivered as well as add some things to that order.

The provisioning manager (don't remember his name) seemed bewildered by why I would want to do this. He did accommodate us but was not too happy about it. His list and my list were way different in appearance which was more a factor of how my list was downloaded versus how the store uses their lists ..... but it was hard to compare and at first glance there were a ton of mistakes, stuff not there, subbed itesm, etc. His excuse was that they were still assembling the order and I could not go to the back and look at it. Fair enough. I then added a few items and off we went.

On Saturday, the 5:30pm promised delivery turned into an 8:30pm delivery after 2 frustrating calls to find out where stuff was. By that time we were all tired (or in the bag) and had little interest in doing a good inventory. We did check a few items but for the most part, we just wanted to get the provisions below and get on with our little party.

My fault, I suppose but don't say I didn't try to get all this right.

So, while I think the general consensus is that Riteway is very good at what they do, just want to hear from others and their recent experiences. So far so good. It's probably where I'll go to get most things pre-ordered because, when I visit in person, it is a nice store with very good produce (usually), always very clean and seemingly tuned in to provisioning.

I'm going to do a lot more picking my own stuff off the shelves this time though. I'd rather actually eyeball what I'm getting after my most recent experience.

Still looking for someone to post about Good Moon Farms produce.

Good Moon Farms produce: fresh, local, organic, will deliver to you pretty much wherever. We order the "mystery" box on the Moorings provisioning list. Never know what will arrive, never been disappointed. You can contact them directly and custom order. And no, I am not related to Aragorn!

Used Riteway on May 29. They subbed a couple of items. Product freshness good. Don't know about other sources, but clincher for us was that Riteway delivered to Moorings until 8:00 pm. We took delivery around 7:00 pm, checked items and still had plenty of time to walk across to the street to fill in any gaps.

We are here now... Had Caribbean cellars drop all the alcohol and water at boat and walked to riteway for bulk of food. And brought polar bear with beef tenderloin and few other meats.. It wasn't necessary but we've been eating very well to say the least. There is no wrong way!

Glad to hear about Good Moon Farms. Our crew for a late July Charter are both accomplished husband and wife chefs ....... So to speak. They make championship Tailgate dishes and win all kinds of award and are picky about ingredients. They've never cooked on a sailboat or in a boat's galley. They are looking forward to it. So am I! Many similarities between tailgate cooking and boat cooking.
