I am curious if shops in Philipsburg are open on Sunday. I remember that shops in Marigot were closed on Sunday that we went there.

It depends on if there are any ships in. If there are ships in, most or all of them will be open. If NO ships are in, most will probably be closed.

Well that was the idea; tomorrw there are no ships in Philipsburg and we want to get better deals from shops. I'll ask some locals maybe they will now more.

Your note didn't say you were talking about tomorrow, but that's the general rule. Suggest you take a ride in the car tomorrow and find out the situation on that particular day. That will be the best indication.

There are always a few shops open, even with no ships in. I believe Boolchangs (sp?) stays open.
