Greetings, we will be in St Maarten in June for 3 weeks. Can you suggest good happy hours for reasonable drinks and apps. We stayed the month of June last year and found these good ones. Staying in Simpson Bay this time but suggestions around the island are welcome. Greenhouse Simpson Bay. Taco place in the Caravansari parking lot (Taco Loco?). St. Maarten Yacht club Bavaria Lee's Toppers Buccaneers Skipjack Perch Papagayo Thanks, any other ideas would be appreciated.

There's also Sunset Bar & Grill, Mon-Sat 6-7; the Dinghy Dock, 5-7; and the Greenhouse in Philipsburg. The Taco place near Alegria is Taco Macho.

The Palms, our favorite. Marty's Dream Pool Bar at Caravanserai (Alegria) is great place to get cocktails and watch the sunset. Taco Macho is in that parking lot.
Cheers, Todd
I prefer the Isle seat

We will be there June 27 - July 11. We also enjoy a good happy hour either as a pre cursor to a good dinner or as a dinner alternative. If we see you at a Happy Hour we will say hello.
Aren't the 'good things that come to those who wait' just the leftovers from the people that got there first?

Don't forget Labamba behind Toppers on a Sunday night. It's a rip.

Happy hour prices amazing! I'll never forget how I teased my buddy on my first trip out of the country. (cancun!) He was dying for a burger while I'm eating snapper roasted in the ground... I just didn't get his desire and it was the birth of my habit of taking food photos. I think it was 1986? been photographing my meals ever since, and I still don't understand burgers. ( well, except at Le Select and even there.... well a burger is a burger is a burger in my mind...) Maybe atmosphere and company make all the difference, but for me, give me conch.. that said, what time do you guys start happy hour... I usually have to milk the sun until it won't tan me any more. so I stay pool or sea side until the end... not that the boozing doesn't start, but relocating for happy hour... well... Then again... I could just march across the Pelican and pop into bucaneers... what time do they start? I'm a scattered mess aren't I?

"well a burger is a burger is a burger in my mind."
not even close, please, I understand eating seafood and more local dishes, get it. There are frozen hockey pucks and there are hand packed Black Angus 85/15 ground chuck. FYI, the reason most chains only cook meat MW or worse is the presence of e coli. Standard ground beef can contain up to 3% organ meat, hence cooking it to death. We proudly serve MR burgers, knowing we are serving ground steak.
