Seeking Opinions, if we wanted to spend a day in Nettle Bay is Dreams a good option? Or is there a better option? Does Dreams have beach chairs we can use if we have drinks and lunch or are there rentals?
Edited to Dreams I mistakenly typed Sunsets.

I'm not sure I know where "Sunsets" is in Grand Case. Certainly Dreams is located in Nettle Bay and if you're referring to Sunset Bar and Grill, near the airport, that is in Maho. For a day in Grand Case you might consider Calmos and you can walk the beach from there but honestly the beach in Grand Case is fairly narrow and built up compared to other beaches.

It's actually in Nettle Bay. A friend had mentioned it to me and then last nite I saw a banner ad for it on here which linked thru to the site. Check it out here Dreams . I've heard Calamos is very good too.

Thank you. Should never post on an empty stomach! I've edited my entire post and the title! So..is Dreams a good option for a day on Nettle Bay is the question.

Dreams is in Nettle Bay as a previous poster said. It is an excellent place to spend the day. The chairs are very comfortable and free if you have lunch. Beach service is available for drinks and probably food. The food and service are both top notch. A wide variety of food choices on the menu. There should be something to suit all appetites. Bruno and his staff provide an excellent beach experience.

I agree with Pandfromcanada My wife requires us to spend at least one day each year at Dreams. Small beach but, small waves, a dock (if you have a boat), soft sand, quite, several chairs + cabanas. All are free with drink(s) or food. The good is great. We usually go for lunch and then spend the rest of the day in the shade.

It really looks beautiful on the website. I think we will have to make a day of it when we are down next month! 24 days and counting....

We have been down since May 1 and have gone to dreams every other day. The owner Bruno is a great guy and his manager David is just as nice. The bartender Stephen makes great Margaritas. The food, drinks and service are top notch. Don't miss it

Another yes vote for Dreams. It's beautifully furnished, with probably the most comfortable beach lounges on the island, and they're free if you eat there. Thibault, the bartender, makes delicious refreshing cocktails, and Bruno and Davide make sure everything is perfect on the beach and especially in the restaurant. We spend several days there each visit to the island.

I'll repeat all the Kudos as said by everyone else. Easily some of the best food on the island, with an incredible range of cuisines being offered. You can't find a more comfortable beach lounge. And the people running the place are all top notch. On an island filled with some wonderful beach bars, this is simply one of the best. We also spend multiple days lounging and dining there.

Dreams is very nice. Only problem I have is that in order to face the sun on the beach you have to sit at a slant and at an angle to the water. Most of the sun in the afternoon is behind you if your facing the water. Other than that it's a beautiful setting.

Chairs are free if you have drinks or food at Dreams. I highly recommend it for a nice lunch.

uhmn, it's in Nettle Bay. Sorry, couldn't resist!
If you are coming from the Dutch side through Maho, go through Cupecoy. Once you cross onto the French side, it's about five minutes. It's on the LEFT hand side, just before you get into Marigot. There's a big sign there.

Well it seems like we can't go wrong there. I emailed the virtual tour pics from their website to my friends who I'm coming with and now they are super excited to go.

Absolutely marvelous choice for the day. Chairs, umbrellas are free. There is an outdoor shower, and indoor toilets...very clean. The food is phenomenal and a person brings drinks and food right to you on the beach if you wish. We always spend several days at the Dreams with friends as it is a great place to meet and just chill for a day.

If you would like to take a peek and see what a portion of Dreams looks like? go to Larry's vacation web cams and click your way to Carribean, St. Maarten, Nettles bay and you can seefor your self (if the cam is up)
