Thursday 5/7 We left our house in Napa around 5 p.m. for the drive to SFO flew Jetblue for the first time, and what a lovely experience. Their A321 planes sure are nice. Service was great and their seats were comfy. The 3 year old slept the whole time, to our delight and I think those around us as well.
Connected in JFK took off a few minutes late on Friday 5/8. That time was made up for in the air, and the little guy slept that whole flight as well again to our delight.
Arrived at 1:30 got to use the stairs as the airport was on lock down for the arrival of the President. No real issues with this either.
Immigration felt slow but it was only about 20 minutes. Baggage was already waiting, so that more than made up for that.
Took the causeway to our apartment in Grand Case, again very fast and no issues.
Before we could get checked in, our son was on the beach, stripped down to his underwear and was playing in the water.
Spent a few hours on the beach swimming and playing, got cleaned up had dinner at the lolos. Ribs, conch plate and our son had 2 crab backs.
Back to the apartment and we were all in bed by 7:45. All in all a great start to the vacation!
Saturday 5/9 writing this on the beach while the boys still sleep. I think another lazy day is in store for us. We will see.

sxmlizzy,
Oh, the lengths we go to and the distances we travel to enjoy those moments in the St. Martin sunshine. We are just back (5/6) from a wonderful trip and I wish you the same. IMHO, there is not much better than being there in the first place, but sharing it with your child is absolutely the best of the best.
Don't forget the Butterfly Farm and perhaps the zoo if he needs a diversion away from the beach. And I'm sure we will all look forward to your future trip up-dates. Enjoy your time...... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />.
Respectfully,
pat

How wonderful for you to finally be there, and enjoying your favorite place through the eyes and experiences of your precious 3 year old. So cute that he went straight to the water!
