We were there from August 15 to August 23. It's not just Air conditioning they are installing. New sliding doors, drapes, valances, water heaters, painting, electric, beds, etc. We had A/C in our room and it was very nice. All the villas are still being worked on. The three rows behind the villas are "done" They still need electrical work. Everyone that was in the upper condo's by the upper pool was moved out and placed in the row behind the villa's. They were going to start on the condos shortly. They are doing a very nice job, but work on island time. I have to admit, I pictured a window air conditioner and what could possibly be taking so long. They are really doing a complete overhaul of the whole facility. This is getting long winded.
Pat and Lucy did a great job as activity directors. They treated us as family. The food was good everyday. The vollyball pool was open and in use everyday. Both the upper and lower pools were in good shape. The hot tubs were full, but were not hot. All the staff were great. They took the time to help me with my limited spanish. They would do their very best to make you comfortable. The beach is the one fly in the ointment. YOU have to be very careful in the water. No sand once you get in the water. I spent most of the time in the pool.
So, if you are going you will probably get A/C in your room. We are planning on going back next year. We hope that Eden Bay is smart enough to keep Pat and Lucy. They really made it fun.
