A few observations during our current stay after over 30 years of visiting St. Maarten:
BSV continues to be wonderful but the amount of Sargasso seaweed washing in during the last week has been the most we have ever seen. Also washing in today on the beach in downtown Philipsburgh. The grouper fingers at the Yacht Club are not to be missed. In our opinion the ribs at The Talk of the Town lolos are the best. Bernadine is alive and well at Paradise View and continues to appreciate donations for the animals. Coldest and cheapest beer in town can be found on the Boardwalk just as you leave Captain Hodge Pier. Man we love this island.

Hate to agree about SMYC Grouper Fingers. Don't want everyone ordering them and having them run out. Thanks for mentioning Bernadine.

Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Can't find fault with any of your observations. Your last sentence is most accurate of our feelings.

I didn't know groupers had fingers. Had to beat Scubaman to the punch.

No, actually not a good one. Not a good trend.

Hey Scubaman, what's the story with grouper in SXM? Is it really grouper? Shouldn't we be careful about overfishing that species
