My bunch is heading from DFW to STT in May. We have half the bunch on AA and half on Spirit air (cattle car). We leave at 6:00am and probably will need to be there by 4:00-4:30. I'm thinking about sending the luggage with the AA bunch. Most likely, we are talking separate terminals. If I print my tickets with Spirit Air, is it appropriate to take everyone to the AA terminal > go through security > take the tram to the Spirit terminal > go to the gate. Or, do I need to "moo like a cow" outside security at the Spirit terminal? thanks, rs

I believe the tram at DFW is outside security so it really does not matter. Go to AMerican first and get checked in and the bags checked then send the Spirit group on the tram to their terminal.

I think you can get into security at AA and then ride the sky train at DFW

The tram is inside security and connects all terminals:

We've been on it many times and it is very efficient compared to other alternatives.

Yep- there are two "trams" at DFW- one outside security (the Buses/Shuttles) and one inside security (the monorail) that go between the terminals. Once you get it figured out, DFW is really very efficient. Check in at AA and then take the Spirit group to their gate.

This has NOTHING to do with your question but....when I fly that DFW - EIS trip I stay the night before in the hotel on airport property to relieve the stress of making sure I am there on time (since Dallas traffic/construction can be a bugger sometimes)...just a thought!

OK. We will see you down there. Leave DFW the 18th. Stoney: A lot of the 121 construction (if coming in from the north side) is done, so the travel time is much better. I've noticed the remote parking is filling up much faster these days because of the parking garage construction close in. We are going to have someone drop us off and pick us up because of that.

Leaving DFW on the 23rd, according to the app on my phone, 23 days, 12 hrs, 36 minutes from now. :-). Not that I'm counting. Flying through Charlotte for the first time due to the merger and couldn't be happier about bypassing MIA. Will leave Frisco around 5:15ish for 7am flight and will prob have 30 -45 min to spare. Weekends to DFW are gravy, traffic wise.
