Any one in the BVI have any more info on the sinking and barge collision of the beautiful old schooner Talofa - it was mentioned in the STT Daily News this morning.

She did not sink. That much I know. There was a collision but she didn't sink - far from it.

I think I saw it on Facebook this morning - couldn't remember but I knew it was the Beacon that had the story.

Here is the VI Daily News info I read this morning:
By ALDETH LEWIN (Daily News Staff) Published: April 24, 2015
A car barge collided with a charter vessel just off Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda early Thursday morning, although details still are sketchy.
Royal Virgin Islands Police Force spokeswoman Diane Drayton said the barge ran into the passenger vessel Talofa and the accident is under investigation.
According to members of the boating community in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the accident happened about 6:30 a.m. [color:"red"]and the Talofa sank; however,[/color] BVI authorities did not confirm those reports.

No problem! Glad I remembered the name of the boat and that I saw something about it this morning! At least with the pictures, you have some solid proof that she's indeed above the water
