just returned from another adventure in Tortola...this time it was for my oldest daughter's wedding. We stayed at our house in belmont, they stayed a week at Ft. Recovery and with the car, meals and some extras included in the week rate it was wonderful for them. We all went into Roadtown on Monday to get the paperwork for the marriage , and this went surprisingly smooth( you are never sure just what to expect with the government) and we were back at the beach before noon.CGB in front of Stanley's to be sure and have some honey stung chicken and cheeseburgers, caribs and bushwackers....
Ate most if not all breakfasts at Pisces, the best, but more on that later.
The wedding was on Thursday at Long Bay Beach, near the rock and went off with out a hitch, which was great since it RAINED, well POURED for about 2 hours that morning. It was still overcast for the wedding so the pictures should be wonderful, no squinting, no shadows and we could take them facing any way we wanted.
The "reception" dinner was at PISCES and again Omar and staff out did them selves!!! He closed the place for our party of 16, had the tables arranged with lovely linens and flowers and the food was wonderful.
soup, salad, breads, fresh swordfish, chicken for those who do not like fish, vegs, rice and for dessert, chocolate cake and some of the best key lime pie (made by Donna who by the way makes the pies for Coco Plums) The folks at PISCES were great, wonderful and if you are planning an event i would give them a call or stop by and ask about prices and ideas.
We also ate the pre wedding get together meal at Coco Plums, ordered off the menu and everyone throughly enjoyed their meals...the mushrooms are not to be missed.
We even spent one day, grilled out, at Brewer's Bay, it had been year's since I had been there and it is still as lovely as ever, the snorkeling that day was exceptional, the water clear as a bell.
On Sat. we ate at Sebastians and then went to the full moon party for a while since we had early leaving times on Sunday. Now that we are home we are planning our next trip not sure when but it should be soon.
If i figure out how to post some pictures I will, especially the reception dinner at PISCES...all in all a wonderful trip!!! can't wait to get back
