We had a very nice and quiet day spent doing not much of anything special or out of the ordinary.

Coffee here in our suite and a few errands this morning. Got started late enough that once our errands were done, we decided to head out to Loterie Farm for lunch. Great choice if I do say so myself.

There was a private function going on in the lower pavilion and field and the place was crawling with kids having fun in the great outdoors. An Earth Day celebration perhaps? Don't get to see that much anymore at home since it seems most kids in our neighborhood are attached to their Play Stations by one hand and texting on their iPhones with the other. It was a pleasant place to savor a glass of wine while sitting in the shade of the restaurant with the occasional breeze blowing through and hearing the constant laughter of the kids at play. And the food and service couldn't have been any better which just adds to the positive experience.

Sandy Snow, if you happen to read this, I did finally meet Julie and she sends her hellos.

Lunch done, we hit the well traveled road back to our timeshare in order to catch a nap on any one of the balconies in our unit.....no pool or beach today since I don't want to tempt fate and the sun Gods the way I did last year.

After showers and such, it was piņa colada time and I'm getting pretty darned good at whipping them up, if I do say so myself.

Drinks done, we headed out to meet Sharon Harris, THE QUEEN, and had a great Italian dinner at Luna Rosa, even getting to meet Maria, the new owner there. What a nice lady and such very good food; she makes all her own pasta as well as her own focaccia and trust me on this. - it's all excellent. And time spent with Sharon is always pleasant, so a good day all in all. We walked back to Sharon's, bumping into Jeannie and friends in the parking lot. What a small, small world this island seems to be.

And tomorrow, life's a beach. Somewhere!

Respectfully,

pat

It doesn't get any better than Loterie Farm for lunch, especially when there is a breeze....thanks for sharing...

Thanks for asking that. I was trying to figure that out myself. I guess it's in walking distance from Royal Palm, but it doesn't ring a bell.

Thanks for the report, Pat! It's been a long time since I've been to Loterie Farm. What did you have for lunch there? I may have to try to get there again for lunch next time on island.

Luna rosa is a small indoor restaurant in the plaza directly across the street from Toppers right there on the main road. There is no street sign to look for and the name 'Luna Rosa' is written in smaller letters on the plate glass windows right under the words Italiano Ristorante. We drove out to find it in the daylight and didn't see it at first but another landmark is a sign for a pizza place right next door in the same little plaza.
Again, the owner makes her own pasta and focaccia and while I couldn't remotely give you the name of what we had, it was delicious. Shrimp in a pinkish creamy sauce over the pasta. Yummy! DH had the same thing and I think if he could have, he would have licked the plate.
TY, Sharon - it was a great choice. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

OK, thanks for the info on the restaurant, as I hadn't heard of it before.

If you remember where Mooi used to be, Luna Rosa has taken over that location. It really needs a better sign as it is not easy to spot when driving by there.

I always enjoy every minute I spend with the two of you because you are so easy to be around.

I am thrilled you liked Luna Rossa because it has become one of our favorite places in a very short time. They do have a Facebook page for the restaurant but I am not sure if the menu is on there. I will talk to Maria the owner & suggest she get a menu on the page.

TY, Sharon.....and the feeling is absolutely mutual, even if John does have a hard time getting a word in now and then...... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />
