Can anyone point me to a hardware store or other merchant who sells table or box fans that will work on the French side of the island. Mosquitoes are the one downside of the place we stay, and I've read that a good fan keeps them away. Primary usage would be on the balcony/porch.
I know I can by on the Dutch side, but I'm told that most places only sell 110 volt fans, and for the French side I'd need a 220 volt unit.
Thanks

Try Home and Tool in Bellvue on the outskirts of Marigot at the rotary as you head to Cole Bay.

I would absolutely buy one from the French side and not deal with transformer issues.

There is a great hardware store in French Quarter. Orleans Hardware, I think is the name. Not too far past the gendarmerie, turn left and it is just down on the left.
