Great trip. Took flight from Cincinnati to Philly, then to SXM. Had a feeling that Al and Sharon (Warmbreezes) might be on our flight. They were, in fact Sharon was sitting in our row across the aisle from Roslyn. I introduced ourselves and enjoyed meeting fellow TTOL members.

We stayed at Divi Little Bay, Building F, in a newly refurbished room overlooking the Bay. We ran into Geraldine and Marisol at the Seabreeze and exchanged hugs. Grocery shopping at Grand Marche was next.

During the week, visited Maho., Mullet, Cupecoy, Long, Plum, Rouge, Orient, Friar's, Galion, and Happy Beaches. Orient was fine, but some vendors failed to clear off the seaweed in front of their establishments.

Took the Arlet Peters Road shortcut several times, which was a thrill. My wife declined, however. Used Union Road more frequently due to the connection with the causeway, which we loved. We both won a small amount at the Great Bay Beach Resort Casino. Did not win at Casino Royale.

Had wonderful breakfast at Ernest's and Fidel's at Porto Cupecoy. Had a terrific fruit drink at Yellow Submarine and enjoyed the restaurant ambiance.
Fort Amsterdam is now open for visits. The rum punch at Driftwood Café was too strong for me. Roslyn sang 4 songs at Karioke Night at Divi, including Happy, which she sang at my request. She also won a free week at Divi at the Manager's party. She is retiring from teaching June 1. Great trip! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

Driftwood has lost several parking spots to concrete barriers. They've lost a great bartender, Malena, to friction. Doubt if we go there much again. Went at least twice a week in the past.

Thanks for the report. Never realized that the Cake Hill Rd over the hill was the same as the Arlet Peters Rd.

Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.
