I have downloaded the passport app and have our passport info and pictures in it. What do you do with it when you arrive at your point of entry? i.e. MIA. We only have 1.5 hours in Miami to clear passport control and customs and catch our connecting flight. Thanks for any help/advice.

Do a search on Google on it for MIA. I posted an article about it a few months ago but don't remember the details. I do know that MIA is one of the first airports to use it. Sounds like a plan right? Hopefully the kinks are worked out by now. Cheers irina

Currently, you can use the app to file your declaration at 4 airports. Miami, Atlanta, Chicago-O'hare, and Seattle. You can fill it out 24 hours in advance of your arrival in the US. Once you land at one of the airports listed above, you can send your declaration in electronically and you will be issued a barcode in the app on your smarthphone/tablet. The barcode will be valid for 4 hours. You will present your smartphone/tablet together with your passport (and others in group) at the specially marked line. Your identity will be verified and your barcode scanned and you will be sent on your way. There is a website setup with all the details, http://mobilepassport.us/Forgot to add this is only valid for US and Canadian passport holders.

SO now there are written form users...and there are kiosk users...and there are GE people...and there are app users. I guess all doing the same thing and all getting to baggage claim to wait for bags and go to the next step...(if you have bags)
Everyone needs a form (either printed or written) before moving to the next step....I really doubt (maybe incorrectly) that EACH group gets it's own line to go through immigration and I also do not understand how using a different tool gets one priority over the other since the info is exactly the same. (GE excluded because of the fingerprints, interview and background checks done)
Enlighten me....please <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/usflag.gif" alt="" />
Oh, and the app is NOT just for Iphone users
Edited to add...I re-read the procedure and see that the "form" is the barcode to be scanned.
