So we had our dingy locked up on dingy dock and come back from dinner to find it missing. This puts a big damper in my plans for the next few days. So if you are around cane garden bay today 4-2-15 or 4-3-15 please be on a look out for a pro valor dingy with a Barbie and ken doll zip tied to dingy.

Not meaning to sound like I am questioning you here, but are you sure someone didn't just grab Barbie and Ken and the unadorned dinghy isn't still there? Good luck!

Was it under the dock? I've seen that happen before.

my guess: Ken and Barbie went for drinks and when dad got home they were still out. Found them drunk hanging out with Quito dancing night away. When they staggered back to the dingy they showed you which one it was....

When we were down in December the dinghy dock at CGB was in horrible shape. Missing boards every few feet. We seriously considered not going ashore at night. Have any repairs been made?

Phlem - If you guys always put the Barbie and Ken on your dinghy, then we met up last year at the B-Line bar on Jost.

What happened to the errant dinghy at Soper's Hole?

There weren't any missing planks on Monday, but I wouldn't say they all fit right <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />

Zanshin- yes we did meet at b-line last year. Are you down here now? Harleyk - Manpot- After a very restless night for the parents and grandparents ken and Barbie were located passed out on the beach. We believe they snuck off for some mushroom tea and a whole lot of fun! They are currently grounded and after our rough passage to the Bight they are rethinking their bad decision!

I'm currently at anchor in St. Martin and headed down-island; I won't be back in the BVI until sometime in May. I'm glad that Ken and Barbie were OK; I suppose all of us were wild and young at sometime in the past.

Phlem I never got the story what did happen to the dingy? Is it something I should worry about? I've haven't had any problems in the past but I'm going to raise it every night on the Davits just to be safe

Raising it on Davits is never really a bad plan but doing for security reasons in CGB is over thinking the scenario.

Waynec. It was tied to the dingy dock real good when we went to dinner it was gone when we came back. One might think it was borrowed for a bit. According to the local police the dingys that go missing are found the next day. You Got me. I found mine. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

I thought in the original post you said the dinghy was locked to the dock. This concerned me because it implied more then a joy ride. Was it tied or locked and did they cut the lock if it was locked up?

The more I follow this thread the more I feel like it is a Paul Harvey " The Rest of the Story " piece.......

Back to page one. OP please give us the details of the missing dinghy. When one writes an alarming post telling of a stolen dinghy, we all get nervous. In this case "locked", became "tied" to the dock. Please explain the gory details, no matter how embarrassing it may be. We have all been there, done that but if it was not stolen while locked we would like to know. thanks

The original poster hasn't been back online since the 6th. Assuming they are still on vacation, presumably they will post more in a few days.
