a friend recently visited Coupecoy in mid-March...he said there was nothing left of the beach...so sad it was one of my favorites to spend the whole day...is Coupecoy now a 5 minute visit to just "look" ? or is there an area to lounge and swim...do tides make much a difference? or will it take a while 4-6 months to replenish the beach.....

The beaches change from day to day, sometimes from hour to hour. Don't despair.

There was lots of sand back in front of Shore Pointe yesterday; not so much at baby beach and the middle beach. There really aren't tides, as such here, but the weather, when very cold up north, frequently makes for strong waves which move the sand around. Even when there is no dry sand, it's worth a visit to watch the waves on the cliffs.

GaKaye is 100% right. No sand today may change to tons of sand in a few days. It has always been that way at Cupecoy.
