Too bad there is no gift shop. I'd like a shirt and hat.

I understand I was wrong about the gift shop. Maybe I will pick something up in May.

Agreed. Everyone in our group thought the food there was outstanding! Great personal service from the chef too. We will be going again in May.

Sounds great Mal. We'll give it a try in May. It wasn't all that long ago that you couldn't get a good steak or a glass of fresh milk. Things have changed.

If we can swing a trip in November we'll give this a try! Our experience with Anegada Reef Hotel's lobster dinner was less than stellar.

we had an outstanding meal at wonky dog last December. Wonky dog is already one of the highest rated restaurants on anegada according to trip advisor.

Where is The Wonky Dog located. Is it walking distance from the anchorage?

It's next to Whispering Pines. We were there for 5 nights 3 weeks ago and ate there 3 nights. Loved it. Dave

We were there a couple of weeks ago and it was spectacular. Desne was a great host. Telling us about her family and their experiences of starting up the restaurant. She suggested her specialty drinks and paired wines for us and really sold us on the whole experience, including desert. The best part was the food did not let us down in any way. From the Wonky Dog Lobster which was the best lobster of the trip to the Pizzas and the grand finale of the sweet corn and bacon ice cream. Everything that came from the kitchen was fantastic. There was not one missed step. This is now a must do for us for every trip. Thank You TTOL for originally telling us about this place! If it wasn't for the information we get here we would have missed this gem completely.

Sure did. We are still talking about it. It is worth going just for that, but make sure you take in everything including Desne's drinks. You will not be disappointed. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

I looked at the menu online and did not see many fish dishes. Do you recall if they had any snapper, grouper, or mahi mahi?
