Good Afternoon, Has anyone stayed at Sebastian s lately? I'm looking at the garden room it would be a one night stay, going to VG the next day. Would we take the ferry to west end or road town? Is there much difference in the taxi fare? Thanks, Ellen

As Manpot said, the West End ferry is a lot closer to Sebastian's and a big difference than a taxi from Road Town.

I don't know what the taxi fare from West End is, but unfortunately <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> I do know that the taxi fare from the Road Town ferry dock to Apple Bay is $30.00.

Can't comment on Sebastian's accommodations, but would avoid the restaurant. Two of our party of three got food poisoning when we were there for lunch in February. Also service very slow (1 hour for food, although only about 4 tables occupied). Disinterested staff.
Tried to complain about the food poisoning by calling Sebastian's - no answer. Shame. It used to be an excellent venue for a lunch stop.
Woof woof!

I would argue the point about disinterested staff, and wonder how hard you tried to contact them. Wanda and James have embraced the new ownership, and their staff has given us nothing short of the most excellent service that you can ask for..... Keeping in mind you are in a place that lives by 'Island Time'.

FWI:James and Wanda are the new, excellent, managers of the hotel. The restaurant has a seperate manager. The owner of the whole shebang is Bernard "Nardi" Hochberg from New Jersey..

With that bring said..... They are not separated from the restaurant/bar. I have personally witnessed James sitting down with the bar/restaurant/waitstaff, communicating between each other.
If you choose to buy into one person's bad experience, then good for you. That means less competition for me when I need an oceanfront room. I wish you luck finding better service and care somewhere else. But when it comes to me spending my hard earned dollars while I am making the best of my time in the BVI's, you can find me sitting at the bar or eating my meals at Sebastian's. Kudo's to James and Wanda for keeping our little piece of heaven just that.... Our little piece of heaven.
