Went to the front desk the other day asking about Wifi issues, spoke with a Angeline, who said that they are in the midst upgrading the system with fiber optic, which should be done later this year. She said the old system does have issues, but they have a work around now.You use 'Divi Resorts WiFi'(password protected) link is better, but still a little spotty at times, but sometimes you get routed back to room wifi links, so it drops your signal occasionally.

Thanks for the update.

We just got a Divi newsletter stating the upgrade to fibre and I was surprised because I had just read your post about spotty Guess they forgot the part where it was in the process not actually a done deal.

Yes, the newsletter definitely made it sound as though it was a done deal.

Is that a choice on the login screen, or . . . ??

Well, I think that since it is NOT done, this is good news. I saw the post about the wifi and then read the newsletter and thought, I guess it is not any better than the old system. So, this is GOOD news. Hopefully, in November, it will be almost done and we won't have to go with Scarlet.

You connect to the 'Divi Resorts WiFi',from your settings, login the password, 'lovedivi', then your browser comes up with a 'connect to the internet' button, hit that and your are in. This morning thou, WiFi is absolutely horrible.

Does anyone know if you can reserve from Scarlet ahead of time and have it delivered to the Divi? We won't get in until after they are closed on Sat and are only staying until Weds. With kids at home with grandparents, I am a little nervous about having a spotty connection...

I know Internet is the best but did you consider renting an island cell phone? You would be able to call home inexpensively and you would have your number before you leave home so in an emergency the kids could easily contact you at anytime. We rent from the Sharon, the Queen of SXM and while I never thought I needed a phone, it does come in handy. She even has an arrangement with some of the car rental agencies (if you're renting one....) whereby for a very minimal fee they will provide your phone with your car. If you go this route, depending on your at home calling plan, calls TO THE ISLAND can be very expensive but from SXM home they are very inexpensive. Just one more option for you if you haven't already considered it. I'm sure Divi appreciates the password posted for all to see.

It's no secret. I am sure it will change when they start up the new WiFi.

Plus, from what you say, sounds like someone not staying at Divi wouldn't be close enough to get a signal anyway!

No but someone from Belair walking the beach to Divi or tourists going to that beach could. No skin off my nose but the more people using it slows it down for others staying there.
