Kind of an "Art" theater with French Films last time I knew. Wasn't appealing to us.

Not sure about Marigot or Nettle Bay, but we saw them getting ready at Porto Cupecoy, not sure if it's for only their condo guests, but a guy asked if we wanted to sign up, we didn't but it looked fun!. ![[Linked Image]](http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q778/BEERMANRICK/St%20Martin%20Part%206-1/IMG_6107_zpsled8twxw.jpg)

I believe the management at Porto Cupecoy shows a movie on the plaza every week, perhaps on Mondays? -- when we were there in December our activities director mentioned it briefly in the course of her 'what's new on the island ' spiel. It's free and outdoors so moskie repellent is a good idea. We were there for dinner and the people out watching it seemed to be enjoying themselves.

There used to be some 'grown up' get dressed up and go to dinner type restaurants there - may still be some but things change fast on St. Maarten. We used to enjoy a quiet dinner there while watching the boats bobbing at anchor. There's something ever so peaceful about the sounds of the small waves lapping against the hulls of the sailboats while the ropes clank against the masts.

Yes, movie night at Porto Cupecoy is every Monday night around 7 pm. Free for anyone. It's become popular enough that you should either arrive early or bring your own chairs. To give you a sample of what's being shown, here are the movies from the last 8 weeks: Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 The Theory of Everything Gone Girl The Imitation Game Burlesque Birdman American Sniper
My wife and I live in St. Maarten during the winter and in the Boston area the rest of the year.
