I have checked sailonline, but also wanted to see what else is available. Looking to spend $2K or less. We are just 2 couples.

Try BVI Yacht Charters - they have a few on the smaller side that might work for you.

Armand ... My boat is not available, but my Charter Mgmt Company, TMM, has a 2015 Beneteau Oceanis 41 available for that period ... $3,400/wk. Not sure you are going to find something at the $2,000/wk target that you would want to commit your money and time to. Let me know if I can help. Thx - Mark

SailOrion might be right, but I'm not sure. I'm wondering if there's an opportunity to negotiate with some charter cos or the peeps over at sailonline? Especially if you waited until May to book. I think some owners have something called "short notice time" (or some similar phrase) that you can get at an even deeper discount?

Also, if charter co's have a boat at the dock that's not going out, but is available, they might be willing to move on price (everything is negotiable, right?). It could take some effort, but this could pay off if you could save $500 to a grand off the lowest available listed price.

BVIYC has a brand new Oceanis 35 that is around $2600 or less for that time frame if she's available. Her bookings start in April so you might get lucky if you give them a call. Shoreside AC too.

around $2K for both couples and for this time of the year, should be possible I hope. I have gotten a couple of good messages on some options, but given that it will be low season, I should wait for the "short notice" options from the owners. It sounds like they can book 3 weeks prior to the charter.
I remember when I used to charter for new years. If we wanted a specific boat, we would have to book it almost a year in advance.
@salica. thanks for the PM. Nice boat and a great option. Just waiting to see what else is out there.

Maybe other owners do it differently, especially outside of moorings/sunsail, but there's no reason I could see a moorings or sunsail owner selling short notice time at a discount - the benefit to short notice time is cheap upgrades to other boats. So unless you are referring to something else, I wouldn't count on that.

Captains Compass has a Beneteau 393. It's in that price range. We just chartered it last week. It needs some work but if you're not fussy about a fancy boat it might be your ticket.
