I have not found Mikes lemonade on the island in years, all they've had is Smirnoff and that's just not the same. Not sure why they can't get it anymore but it's disappointing!

Did not realize it comes in cans. Going to put a 12 pack in my checked luggage. The person I'm bringing it for isn't a big drinker. 12 should be enough for the week.

If you do that, be careful and wrap the cans in something waterproof. I have heard of cans exploding inside suitcases due to ??? Changes in pressure?? Anyway, better be safe than sorry and have that stuff all over your clothes!

Cans or bottles can leak due to less ambient air pressure.

May be easier to just make your own in a pitcher and bring to the beach, simplest is country time lemonade or lemons and sugar, vodka and or rum! Granted Mikes is a "malt beverage" but making your own you could tweek it to how you want it

Mikes is a malt beverage in the US, but is a Vodka beverage in Canada. Which version is sold on the island?

Thanks for the pressure thing. did not think about that. I don't drink them. Just trying to make a guests time enjoyable.

I googled the question and the answer was the pressure is the same. just have to package it well to protect it from the air handlers. So bubble wrap and watertight will be the way to go.
