I haven't been to Anse Marcel in probably 30 years, have friends arriving tomorrow and thought I would show them the island, thought this would be a great spot to spend the day at the beach and have a nice lunch. I know there is the new Riu, can you do that there? Do they have chairs for rent or include in your lunch? Or is there another option? Thanks in advance

You can go to Riu for the day. Large fee. We spent 10 days of our trip next door at Anse marcel beach club. Loved it there. Loved their cheeseburgers. All their food was great

What is considered a large fee? Not looking for cabana rental like lasamana has, just chairs umbrella and lunch.

RIU is too expensive. Think they are really trying to discourage day trippers. Would only let guests eat lunch in restaurant . Right next to that is the beach club with restaurant and another bar with food items I think chairs were $10 or $15 even if you bought lunch
next is the public beach which is fine. Just bring some chairs We did rent a jet ski there and it was fun. Still a beautiful area

I was just at Anse Marcel last week. you have several options... rui is expensive as said but
you can either buy chairs/umbrella at the anse marcel beach club/brown color and eat at their restaurant, OR you can bring your own chairs and sit at the far end of the beach...however, we were told that we couldn't park at the beach club parking as it was only for the restaurant and their chairs...

Thanks sungoddess, we won't have chairs and we plan on eating there so will look for "beach club area".

We recently spent an afternoon at Anse Marcel Beach Club for lunch and lounging on their chairs. Excellent lunch, particularly the grilled calamari, and peaceful afternoon.

Had a great day there. Stayed at the Anse Marcel Beach Club, great meal and about 50€ per person including chair price, would do it again, but would make reservation for lunch table and chairs. We ate in the lounge area which was nice, but table would have been better, or one of the gazebos
