A neighbor's son-25ish, was playing in the waves in LI when one smashed him to the bottom of the ocean. He is now a quadriplegic. Very sad. Waves have always scared me but even more now....

Yes, hubby now respects the waves of Anguilla. He was smashed on Meads Bay a couple years ago. Had to have surgery on his shoulder when we got home. It picked him up and pile drove him upside down into the sand. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />

There was one day several years ago when we drove all over the island trying to find quiet surf. Mullet, all the French side beaches, Friar's, Orient - every one was insanely wild and crazy. Finally ended up at Gallion!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />
