It's been years since I've been in US VI. I'd like to spend between 7-10 days there. How should I divide time- 1 island or 2? (and which ones). Thanks.

It is easy to travel among St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island. It is a bit more problematic to travel between St. Croix and St. Thomas.

Well depending on how many years you've been away St Thomas used to be like what St John is today.
St John is much more peaceful the St Thomas.
St Croix is much larger then both and has beautiful beaches and geography.
So basically it's your decision

I've been around that area for +/- 30 years. How far back do we need to travel to have witnessed those times?

Well 30 years ago things started changing but
You were probably practicing transcendental meditation on the Mountain Top for a decade while things flew by.
